Research Reports

Extended analysis of economic mechanisms, policy choices and the evidence needed to distinguish among competing explanations.

Developing an economic argument

Reports bring together institutional evidence, economic reasoning and quantitative analysis around a specified research question. They examine the mechanism, consider alternative explanations and state what the available evidence can establish.

A report may cross economies or policy domains, but the comparison remains subordinate to the question. Definitions, time periods and the basis for causal claims are made explicit.
