Website information

Privacy

This notice describes personal information associated with use of the research website and correspondence sent to the published email addresses.

Website access

The website provides public research without reader accounts. Technical request information, which can include an IP address, request time, browser information and the address requested, may be processed by the hosting and network providers to deliver pages and protect the service.

Site search and collection filters operate in the browser. Search terms and filter choices appear in the page address when used, and ordinary access logs may therefore contain that address. Avoid placing personal or confidential information in a search query.

Correspondence

An email inquiry includes the information you choose to send and the metadata associated with its transmission. This information is used to understand the inquiry, correspond about it and retain a relevant record. Do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information.

Material may be shared with a service provider or adviser where necessary to handle the inquiry or comply with an applicable obligation. This notice does not authorize publication of a correspondent’s identity as a research participant.

Storage and external services

The website does not use an advertising account or reader profile. The cookie notice describes browser storage used by the public site. Email and hosting services process information under their own applicable terms.

Following an external source link takes you to another publisher, whose privacy practices govern that service. The research feed can be used through a reader of your choice, which may process feed usage under its own notice.

Requests and contact

Questions about this notice or personal information provided in correspondence may be sent to privacy@aesenate.org. Identify the matter and the information concerned. Verification may be necessary to avoid disclosing information to an unauthorized person.

Records are retained according to the purpose for which they are held and any applicable legal or operational requirement. A request is considered in that context; information required for an ongoing obligation may need to be retained.
